TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO? I am an Interior Designer with a passion for all things beautiful. I love sharing my gifts in my blog The Art of Domesticity for young women who are just starting to create their life giving homes. I serve as ministry leader for a Mom's bible study at Saddleback Church, teaching the biblical principals for their marriages and parenting.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE AND HAVE YOU LIVED ANYWHERE ELSE? I have lived in Southern California my entire life except for a year and half when I lived in Northern California. Currently I live in Newport Beach where I have lived since high school.

HOW DO YOU CARVE OUT TIME WITH GOD EVERYDAY? I wake up early every morning, feed my two pups, grab my coffee and have my morning time with the Lord. It’s what sets my heart and mind for what’s ahead in my day.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE AND PLEASE SHARE WITH US WHY YOU LOVE IT? Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God...” This verse is a reminder that in the busyness of our lives taking time to be still and really knowing who God is everything. It helps us not fret for anything that comes our way because He is a good and loving father who knows us and has wonderful promises for us.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST ORGANIZATIONAL/PLANNING TIP? My Anchored Press Planner is what keeps me focused on my day, week and month. As an Interior Designer it’s helpful to set my appointments and schedule my installations.

WHAT IS YOUR FAMILY’S FAVORITE GO-TO EASY MEAL? Homemade Chili and corn bread. Love that I can prepare it in the morning in my crock pot and walk away from it until I get home.

TELL US YOUR FAVORITE GOD STORY (IN YOUR OWN LIFE)? The year my daughter came home to surprise me for my birthday, she had been away for college and was a busy 24 year old. My husband had set up a photographer to take family photos. Little did I know that would be the last pictures we took as a family before my daughter passed away four months later. But God knew. He knew it would be a tresure to me. He cares especially in the little things.

WHAT ARE YOUR 3 FAVORITE BOOKS, OTHER THAN THE BIBLE OF COURSE? Crazy Love by Francis Chan, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and Holding on to Hope by Nancy Guthrie

We are dying to know . . . your best advice for staying grateful in times of hardship. This verse. Grateful for the glimpse into glory: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”  (Revelation 21:1-4)
